In the serene hills of Uttarakhand, lies a community with a rich cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation. However, in recent years, the community has been facing a crisis. With the lack of job opportunities and the allure of the city life, many of the youth have been forced to leave their homes in search of work, leaving their traditions behind.
As the youth leave, the hills grow quiet, and the sound of the ancient crafts and skills that once filled the air is slowly fading away. The culture and traditions of this region are in danger of becoming extinct.
While westernization has brought practical benefits to our country and society, it has also impacted the ethical and cultural standards, resulting in a decline in the rich historical essence of traditional and cultural practices in India. The primary audience’s shift towards a Western lifestyle has limited the scope of going back to our Pahari traditional and cultural values.

To address this challenge, MORI, a lifestyle brand, believes in bringing back the richness and feel of Pahad by integrating “fusion” in its wide range of products, introducing nature and Pahad in every design. This approach enables MORI to balance two aspects by maintaining the current growing trends while preserving the traditional Pahari values and lifestyle.

The brand’s logo, featuring a window with a beautiful thought embedded in it, is inspired by the nature and experience of Pahari lifestyle. The scented earthly fragrance of monsoons, reminiscent of the mud walls and floors of the ancient Pahari houses, and the unforgettable small blue window that frames precious childhood memories are reflected in the brand’s value, serving as a bridge that connects “you” to the essence of Pahad and creating a unique perspective.
